Winners podium first second third place
Despite the earthquake in Japan , which has clearly hurt the production of Toyota for several weeks, the Nippon's company is the most valuable automotive brand worldwide, with a current value of $ 27.764 million (about 20.875 million euro), which an increase of 6% over the amount recorded in 2010.
This follows from the ranking by Interbrand, which situated Mercedes-Benz on the heels of the Japanese corporation and is in second position with a value of $ 27.445 million (20.635 million euro), up 9%. The third position corresponds to BMW , which increased its brand value by 10% in the last year to reach 24.554 million dollars (about 18,460 million euros), while Japan's Honda is in fourth with 19.431 million dollars (14,600 million euros), after growing by 5%.
Further afield, the fifth position is for Volkswagen , with 7.857 million dollars (about 5,900 million euro), representing an appreciation of 14%, followed by Ford with 7.483 million dollars (5.626 million euros), 4 % more. Then, in seventh place is Audi with 6.171 million dollars (4640 billion) and an increase of 13%, followed by Hyundai , eighth, with a sharp rise from 19% to 6.005 million dollars (4.515 million of euro). Rounding out the top ten is Porsche with $ 4,580 million (3440 million), up 4%, and Nissan with a brand value of 3,819 million dollars (2.871 million euro).
Moreover, among the top hundred companies from all sectors of brand value also include Ferrari , with 3.591 million dollars (2,700 million euro) and Harley-Davidson of $ 3.512 million (2,640 million euro).
