Peugeot presented in Geneva the "brother" of the Citroën C4 Aircross that by size is located just below. Now Peugeot 4008 it comes to marketing in Europe.

On the outside, 4008 remains in 4.34 meters in length, but reaches its width of 2.12 meters. Its bulky lines are seen in the hood, wheel arches ... They are accompanied by some 18-inch alloy wheels and day lighting by LEDs -the same technology used for optional glass roof.

Inside, the 4008 does not give the possibility to choose different finishes and is available only on Allure trim -the most comprehensive of the mark. The capacity of the luggage compartment offers 416 liters including spare wheel and if you fold down the rear seats can reach 1,219 liters.

Initially, the only engine available for 4008 will be diesel 1.8 HDI 150 hp, with a six-speed manual transmission that achieves a consumption of 5.6 liters per 100 km and CO2 emissions of 147 grams per kilometer. The driver, via a knob on the dashboard, can choose between circular front drive, four-wheel, or L0ck mode, which delivers power to 50% between the two axes.

The equipment list includes browser, automatic climate, Hill-start assistant, rear view camera, with sound alerts thanks to eight sensors distributed on all four sides of the car, and open, close and hands-free startup. Optionally, you can mount screens thirteen inches in the front headrests for the amusement of the occupants of the back seats. It is also possible to have Internet access thanks to "Wifi On Board" of Peugeot.

The Peugeot 4008 will be in showrooms with a starting price of 31,700 euros.
