After many rumors here are the first spy photos that reveal the Mercedes SLC (whose debut is planned for 2015 and entrusted with the technical development of the sports department ) in unofficial garments, captured near the test center at AMG Nürburgring.

Although at first glance may seem like a classical SLS, the size actually is reduced and suggest a study of what will be the youngest sister.

The new sports coupe engine will be positioned in the front and will be placed below the SLS. The new Mercedes SLC will mark closely the Porsche 911.

According to some rumors, the new SLC chassis is made of aluminum, while for the car body have been used panels of aluminum and CFRP: this should ensure a much lower weight compared to 1620 kg of SLS.

The SLC will be powered by the new engine 4.0 liter V8 twin-turbo, currently under development, which could accompany a V6 version also.

Finally, in the coming months, we could also get a convertible variant. We must remember that this is not the final design of the production car that could be completely different. For this affirmation the supports is the fact that the SLC, most likely, will be available with conventional doors.
