Apparently not only Allan Mulally (FORD Motor Co. president and CEO) is very impressed ( impressed enough to kiss it) by Ford's new 1.0 three-cylinder EcoBoost engine. The jury of the International Engine of the Year was also very impressed by this little three-cylinder. May we hear three cheers for Ford?

The international jury of 76 journalists from 35 countries decided that, besides the title International Engine of the Year 2012, Ford also won in the categories "Best New Engine" and "Best Engine 1.0-liter". It is also the first time that this prestigious award is in Ford yard. In the past it was mainly BMW , Volkswagen and Fiat.

So, Fox Ford engine, or 1.0 EcoBoost, with a displacement of 999 cc, is the great winner of Intenational Engine of the Year 2012.
Small turbocharged petrol version, now mounted only on Focus, has 100 hp power, 120 hp and 125 hp. This engine began to be produced in Romania, to be mounted under the bonnet of the Ford B-Max. Here's the complete list of winning engines in 2012.
