The
Honda Civic Type R comes back. Honda is currently testing with prototypes in Germany and a launch in 2013 is not inconceivable.
Honda test copies of the new Civic Type R were sent on the road. A photographer of the British magazine Autocar caught several camouflaged copies in Germany. The arrival of the sporty Civic by was confirmed by Manabu Nishimae, president of Honda Motor Europe.
"Customers want sporty Honda models so they get that" said Nishimae. Late last year, at the Tokyo Motor Show a spokesman said that Honda brand already focus back on sportsmanship.
Good news for fans of the Type R. Many details are not yet known about the fastest Civic. It will probably get a naturally aspirated engine with around 200 hp and will be - unlike its predecessor - only as a five door on the market. Rumours, however, are about a turbo engine, the first in Honda history.
