The super SUV, Eternity Artemis, is the latest sports crossover concept car presented first at the Beijing Auto Exhibition. This SUV concept car has arrived at Beijing, packed with an output of 600 horsepower but a price tag of around three hundred and eighty thousand dollars.
We repeat: 380.000 dolars !!!
The price may carry its justification because its designs are based on
Porsche Cayenne. Even at that price, there are people showing interest after it was unveiled at Beijing.
If the Artemis adheres to its production schedules which are estimated to be around July this year, it may sound alarm bells to the luxury SUVs that are being promoted by Bentley and Lamborghini. There is news from London that the starts up production units there are already taking down orders for the Artemis SUV. The same is the case in Taipei and Hong Kong, ahead of its initial delivery dates this year.
This car was earlier labelled ‘Hemera’. It has an interior that matches its rival cars of Bentley and Maserati. Its 4.8-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine has been sourced from Porsche, gives an output of 600 horsepower and 750 pound-feet of torque. It goes from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and the top speed is 290 km/h.
Its rear cabin is about a hundred millimetres longer than the
Porsche Cayenne’s. It has two reclining seats at the rear with iPad holders and a chilling compartment for drinks. It also carries a sophisticated sound system.
Its body design includes handmade carbon composites. The wheels are twenty three-inch wide with forged alloys that are light in weight. The car has a black grille and bonnet scoops. The rear portion is also distinct with its air outlets that are vertical and tail pipes which are embedded.
The team overlooking the car’s performance handling is British and it is headed by Alastair MacQueen who worked on the
Jaguar XJ 220 which was once regarded as one of the fastest cars on the road.
