Expected to debut this autumn in the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the new McLaren MP4-12C Spider is revealed in the first official photo. Yes photo not photos, more, a strange angle photo so we can consider that is also a teaser image.

Unfortunately, technical data are lacking at this time. Therefore, it is again necessary to give credit to ongoing speculation: according to the latest rumors, convertible version of the McLaren MP4-12C model will enjoy the presence of a retractable hard top, a detail with which boasts also the recently-released Ferrari 458 Spider. However, unlike its rival in Maranello, British car will be equipped with a roof made of carbon fiber and not an aluminum one.

Regarding the engine, it is expected that the much-anticipated Spider McLaren MP4-12C to hide under the hood the same V8 twin-turbo 3.8-liter. The exact maximum power attributed much remains unknown at this time, but it most likely will stay in the range 600-625 hp.

As we mentioned a bit above, the new McLaren MP4-12C Spider will be unveiled in world premiere this autumn at the Paris Motor Show.

UPDATE: It's official. McLaren MP4-12C Spider will have the same cockpit structure made of carbon fiber like the coupe roof version, while the propulsion will be provided by a V8 twin-turbo 3.8-liter and 625 horsepower. More official information will be available soon.
